Dear Butterfly Conservation Ireland Member,

Welcome to Butterfly Conservation Ireland’s Annual Report 2014.The year 2014 saw plenty of sunshine and the benefits for our butterflies and moths are described in this report. A new butterfly was discovered breeding in Ireland during 2014 and the story of this discovery is published in this report as an exclusive for our members. Your continued practical and financial support is greatly appreciated and our butterflies and moths have an important voice for their conservation. Be assured that the conservation agenda is pursued at every opportunity. Our accounts were audited and passed so thanks are due to our joint treasurers Michael Jacob and Joseph Harding. Thanks are due to Richella Duggan for her help in editing this report. Please enjoy reading our annual report and pass this on to others who may be interested in joining Butterfly Conservation Ireland. The membership fee of €30 is payable and reminders will be sent.

Yours in nature,

Jesmond Harding [Secretary]
Butterfly Conservation Ireland,
County Kildare.
